sound artist,
producer, dj,
composer based
in Bern Switzerland

About︎︎︎

Fiona Rody (1994*) has been immersed in a musical and cultural environment since her earliest years. Growing up in a musician family and first trained as multimedia designer, she later (2021) graduates from the Bern University of the Arts (HKB) in Bachelor Sound Arts.

Heavily influenced by dance music and rave culture, Noria Lilt puts together a bursting mix of the most heterogeneous electronic inspirations.

From clubs to art centers and other live scenes, her practice oscillates between djing, live, composition and production, audiovisual installations and multichannel pieces. Her production and composition process tends towards acousmatic and experimental music, with a delicate and unique sound design.

SMEM coordinator and TRNSTN RADIO co-founder, she is an important figure and an active member of the cultural, nightlife and musical scenes of Fribourg.

In all her facets, she presents powerful messages in a captivating hybrid universe.

Three artists, three disciplines: by combining music, movement and speech, they create a contemporary ritual. A ritual that takes into account both the present and the eternal, that crosses both the ecstatic and the contemplative. A ritual that goes beyond the profane and carries us away. In this cohabitation, the large intertwines with the small, the abstract with the concrete, the opposite with the self. And from these impulses a force is born that makes us vibrate.

︎︎︎DISCORD

audiovisual installation

January 18, 2020
Hochschule der Künste, Bern

CONCEPT & COMPOSITION
Fiona Rody

VIDEO RECORDINGS
Joana Huguenin

DANCERS
Julia De Martino

, Simon Crettol, Hervé Scherwey

PICTURES

DISCORD is oneiric but disturbingly framing behaviours violating private spheres and safe spaces. Inspired by numerous experiences and testimonies on and from the dancefloor, this installation questions proximity and its discomfort. It denunciates all harassing and invasing acts, transgressing the limits of respect and consent, verbally and physically.

This semi-interactive audiovisual installation has been created for 6 speakers, a big vertical mesh screen and some distance sensors.
